Part-Time MBA Global Business Courses
The Smith School is thrilled that you are considering a short-term program
abroad, and we hope you decide to participate. As a study abroad student, you
are not just a tourist – you are embarking on something much richer and have
access to experiences a tourist could never have. We hope you enjoy your time
abroad and push yourself to get outside your comfort zone even a little bit: see
what you discover about yourself and about the country you are visiting. You
will have the opportunity to meet new colleagues, particularly ones from a
different campus than yours – this is an excellent opportunity to network and
build strong relationships.
Please Note:
Starting Academic Year 2013/14, Part-time MBA courses abroad will consist of a
set of three modules for four credits total; students will complete all three
modules. The first module is BUSI788x, fall term, for 12.5 hours total on Sunday
afternoons. The second module is the two-credit experience abroad. The third and
final module is the spring term BUSI788Z; students meet in individual classes
(e.g. the India course) and then all students participate in a day-long event
celebrating and reflecting on their education abroad.
Students registering for the fall BUSI788 one-credit course will
automatically be registered for the other two associated modules.
Program fee is supported for one BUSi788/798 course series abroad. You are
welcome and encouraged to participate in more than one BUSI788/798 abroad during
your time at Smith, but a program fee will apply to the second series.
