Giving to the Smith School
Robert H. Smith

“It is my dream that each student that graduates (this School) will be an ambitious dreamer, a courageous risk taker and a principled, ethical leader who will work to make this world a better place.”

- Robert H. Smith '50
1928 - 2009

The school was named the Robert H. Smith School of Business in 1998 in recognition of a $15 million endowment gift from alumnus Robert H. Smith, former co-chairman and co-chief executive officer of the Charles E. Smith Companies.

GIVING TO THE SMITH SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

The Robert H. Smith School of Business depends on support from alumni and friends to provide students with an excellent business management education. Our success in the Great Expectations Campaign will allow us to continue the tradition of providing students with a first-class educational opportunity at a fraction of the cost. Funds generated in this campaign will provide resources to fund scholarships and fellowships for deserving students, recruit and retain world-renowned faculty, devoted to business education and support innovative research. The Smith community thanks those who have invested in the future of the Smith School!
