Meet the Donors

The Robert H. Smith School of Business depends on support from alumni and friends to provide students with an excellent business management education. Our success in the Great Expectations Campaign will allow us to continue the tradition of providing students with a first-class educational opportunity at a fraction of the cost. Funds generated in this campaign will provide resources to fund scholarships and fellowships for deserving students, recruit and retain world-renowned faculty, devoted to business education and support innovative research. Robert H. Smith Robert H. Smith '50
The school was named the Robert H. Smith School of Business in 1998 in recognition of a $15 million endowment gift from Robert H. Smith, co-chairman and co-chief executive officer of the Charles E. Smith Companies.
John Boyle John Boyle '76
John Boyle is a member of the Board of Visitors and the Smith School of Business Foundation. He received the Dean’s Outstanding Alumni Service Award in 2007.
Al Carey Al Carey '74
Al Carey is a member of the Smith School Board of Visitors member and president and chief executive officer of Frito-Lay.
Allen J. Krowe Allen J. Krowe '54
Allen J. Krowe endowed the school's Teaching Excellence Awards to acknowledge the great education he received at the university.
Milt Matthews Milt Matthews '68
Milt Matthews is a Great Expectations Campaign Co-Chair for Smith and retired Chief Customer Officer of Hershey Foods Corporation.
