Post Crisis: Business Leadership in the New Global Economy

The 2008-09 recession triggered by the 2007-08 mortgage meltdown crisis is now commonly labeled “The Great Recession” in acknowledgement of its depth and duration. Regardless of the timing of the economy’s recovery, structural changes in the financial markets, regulatory environment and even main street household behavior are anticipated. Leveraging the Robert H. Smith Scholl of Business’ unique position as a thought leader in the greater Washington, DC area, the 2010 Graduate Business Conference will focus on the recovery of the global economy and how these changes impact today’s emerging business leaders.

The conference will feature prominent keynote speakers who will address the emerging role of government as a partner and a regulator in this new economic reality. Discussions will also focus on the evolution of corporate governance, business ethics and the fundamental structural changes in today’s global business environment. C-suite executives and experts will contribute to these discussions, and how these changes will alter the role of MBA business leaders in the future.
