Admissions and Financial Assistance

The Smith MBA Admissions Team coordinates events on-campus, throughout the US and abroad. And, there are several opportunities throughout the year to participate in on-line chats with current students and admissions representatives. Please visit the Admissions Calendar for upcoming events. Smith uses an online application for both the full- and part-time MBA programs. If you are exploring a joint-degree program, be sure to read this section on the Admissions page. And, be sure to pay attention to deadlines for financial aid and admissions applications.

We have also provided admissions requirements and FAQs for additional information.

The majority of our students begin their MBA with a minimum of two years of solid work experience (from a variety of industries). This helps them shape their goals for their post-MBA careers. Diversity at Smith is not limited to the academic departments and types of electives offered. Smith students are global- representing at least 30 different countries- and hail from different academic and professional experiences. They have on average:

  • GMAT scores ranging from 560 – 790 (Average of 656)
  • Undergraduate GPAs of 2.8 – 4.0. (Average of 3.4)
  • Post-baccalaureate work experience of 2 – 22 years (Average of 5 years)
