Climate & Clothing

College Park and Bethesda, Maryland, are two suburbs of Washington DC, lying at the western edge of the middle Atlantic coastal plain, about 80km east of the Blue Ridge Mountains and 55km west of the Chesapeake Bay.

Autumn weather in the DC metro area is generally warm during the day, cool and crisp at night. Temperature highs are in the 60-70F (15-20C) range, lows in the 40-50F (5-10C) range. The area this time of year is absolutely beautiful, with the foliage displaying hues of yellow, orange and red.

Plan to dress in layers to accommodate the change in temperature.  Attendees usually dress business casual during the day, and slightly more formal during the evening events.
