About the Conference

The 2008 conference and sessions will be held at the Robert H. Smith School
of Business, University of Maryland, and the
Regency in Bethesda, a suburb of Washington, DC. The conference will open
with a reception Thursday evening (2 October) at the Hyatt. The annual awards
dinner is planned to take place in the Hyatt’s Crystal Ballroom and on Saturday
we’ll be heading into downtown DC for a reception at the historic Decatur House
Concurrent and plenary sessions on Friday and Saturday will be held at Van
Munching Hall at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland,
College Park. Transportation between the Hyatt and university will be provided
via bus. Taxi and metro are the best ways to get around the city. On the Sunday,
the remaining plenary sessions will be held at the Hyatt.
Autumn is a wonderful time of year to visit DC, as the leaves are changing
color and the temperature is neither too hot nor too cold. Enjoy the culture and
diversity that DC has to offer in its museums, monuments, restaurants and parks.
