Here are the instructions for how to use Kobra
to get selected ratios or indices of all the stocks:
1. Run Kobra on the desktop.
2. Click "File" on the top-left, then
click "new" to open a new Flex.
3. Double click in a frame of the Flex, then
click "Matrix" in a draw-down list. You will see a matrix come out
with many fields on the top.
4. If you want to select a field to be shown on
the top row, right click on a field you want to replace, a draw-down list
appears, click "historical and reference data", then click
"security instruments fields", then you can select a field you like.
5. Click "search" on the top of Flex,
a box comes out. Click on the downward arrow in the "look for", select
"Equities".
6. Click "More Criteria" on the top
right. You can select any criteria you want (e.g. click on "issue",
select "Exchange", ">", the + left to "North
America", "United States"). Click the icon of the magnifying
glass on the top. Then a list of stocks will come out on the bottom left
box.
7. Click "<All>" on top of this
list. A list will come out in the right box. Highlight the whole
list. click "send" above this list.
8. The name, related ratios and indices will
come out in the Matrix on the Flex.
9. Copy and paste the Matrix to Excel if you
like.
