Buying travel insurance for parents (and yourself)

Recently I was making arrangements for my parents' visit to USA. After making sure that they got VISA, tickets etc in place, there is one last thing on the agenda. Travel insurance! It is a really good idea but for the fact that a lot of misinformation, smart operators and in general confusion exist. Here is a nice website. As I said earlier, it is an area fraught with misinformation, so do a lot of due diligence, and take everybody's word with pinch of salt, including mine.

It is also a good idea if you are on your first trip to USA as a student. Usually university provided insurance does not kick in till a month or two after you arrive. Sickness does not follow such time tables.
