Katherine Stewart received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. She has been on the faculty at Maryland since 2000, teaching in the PhD and MBA programs. Dr. Stewart’s research includes articles published in Administrative Science Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, MIS Quarterly, Organization Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Software Process: Improvement and Practice, and Statistical Science. She serves on the editorial boards of Information Systems Research, Management Science, JMIS, and the Journal of the AIS, and she is the 2009 Division Chair-Elect for the OCIS division of the Academy of Management. Her current research focuses primarily on issues related to the development of open source software.
