The China Business Plan Competition
On Sunday, January 10, 2010, twenty-three students
from the University of Maryland arrived in Beijing, China to
begin a week of global entrepreneurship study and exploration.

Pitch Dingman Update
The Dingman Center held 2 Pitch Dingman Competitions in February: in addition to the regular monthly competition,
there was a special competition for Part-Time MBA Students. Want to know which Part-time campus won? Read more. Both competitions were intense and it went down right to the wire. In the end, there were some really deserving winners.

CAN Breakfast Update
The Dingman Center’s Capital Access Network (CAN) is screening
regional early-stage companies and coaching entrepreneurs in an
effort to successfully connect them with the angel investor
community.

CAN in the News!
Obtaining early stage funding is always a challenge.
Many good ideas don't see the light of day because they cannot
find the money to get off the ground. Enter the Capital Access
Network, managed by the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship at
the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business.
It provides early stage businesses an opportunity to connect
with accredited angel investors. But perhaps even more
importantly, it provides entrepreneurs an opportunity for
invaluable mentoring from experienced business experts.

Portfolio Company Update: Legal River
Legal River is a firm which helps small
businesses fulfill their legal requirements at very affordable
rates. It recently released two document generators for quickly and easily
assembling standard
terms of service and
privacy policies.

Founded by Rudy Lamone in 1986, the Dingman Center was one of the first of its kind in the country and has emerged as a top-ranked entrepreneurship center.
