The Dingman Process
Building the Business Model
“The Dingman Process demystifies the
entrepreneurial process. It teaches you a different way of looking at
the world and how to maximize an opportunity.” — Asher Epstein,
Dingman Center Director
Students have the rare opportunity to experience the different stages
involved in cultivating a business by following a tried-and-tested business
methodology called The Dingman Process. This systematic framework for
developing an idea into an actionable business concept involves four key
steps:
- Identify trends in the marketplace
and arrive at an idea for a business that is fundamentally sound
(Ideation/Trend Analysis).
- Assess the feasibility of that idea
in the marketplace (Assessment).
- Determine a time- and
cost-efficient way to launch the business (Implementation).
- Continually review, improve, and
scale the business for increased ROI (Iteration).
The criteria used in the Dingman Process form the underlying framework
behind all Dingman Center projects, beginning with
Pitch Dingman.
