College Park Transportation
UPDATE: The College
Park Metro stop will be down for repairs during Commencement on May 19th and May
20th. Please use alternate transportation. Cabs are a viable option, but please
keep in mind that most do not accept credit cards.

Shuttle buses replace trains between Greenbelt and West Hyattsville
- Free shuttle buses will replace Green Line trains between Greenbelt and West
Hyattsville.
- Local buses will operate between Greenbelt and West Hyattsville, stopping at
College Park and Prince George's Plaza; add up to 35 minutes additional travel
time.
DOTS
On the day of commencement as well as the following day of individual
ceremonies, the university’s Department of Transportation Services will be
running special shuttles for guests and students. Please visit
www.transporation.umd.edu for more information.
Taxi
During commencement there will be several taxis on campus that can be waved
down on-site, however there are many services that can be called.

At the College Park Metro Station, minutes from campus, there is a taxi
stand. Please note that traffic will be heavier than usual. Also, most cabs do
not take credit card.
Airport Shuttle
The most commonly used airport shuttle at the University of Maryland is the
Super Shuttle. Reservations can be made online and rates vary. Please make
reservations in advance.

WMATA
You may want to catch the metro to College Park for commencement or during
your stay with us to explore Washington, DC or many other attractions. The metro
is the most convenient method of travel if visiting attractions in the metro
area.
Please use the Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority (WMATA)
website for your planning needs. The University of Maryland College Park is
located on the green line.
