Faculty & Staff: Graduation Day

Arrival Time

If you are participating in the Smith School Commencement (i.e. platform party) please report to the Comcast Center no later than 3:30 p.m. There will be signage directing you to the Media Room.

Platform Party Room Location

The platform party should arrive at the Media Room by 3:30 p.m. to prepare for commencement. There will be signage directing you to the Media Room, room 0405, immediately behind the tunnel entrances of Comcast.

Smith School Commencement Marshals

The Smith School’s Graduation Ceremony is at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 2012 in the Comcast Center. All marshals should report to the Auxiliary Gym, Room 0601 by 3:30 p.m. for the student lineup. The procession from the gym to the arena will begin at approximately 4:10 p.m- 4:20 p.m. The robing room is in the Media Room, room 0405. This room will also serve as the platform party’s meeting area.

For those participating in the Campus Ceremony, it will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Comcast Center. Faculty and Staff will assemble in academic regalia in the Auxiliary Gym, room 0601 starting at 6:00 p.m.

UM Main Ceremony Commencement

If you are participating in the UM Main Commencement Ceremony please review the University’s Commencement site at www.commencement.umd.edu.

Parking

Please park as close to the Comcast Center as possible. There will be parking attendants to assist you with parking if needed.
