Dr. Paul Tesluk

Paul
Tesluk is the Ralph J. Tyser Professor of Organizational Behavior and Human
Resource Management in the department of management and organization at the
Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park.
He is currently chair of the department of management and organization at Smith
and co-director of the newly formed Center for Leadership, Innovation, and
Change (CLIC). Tesluk is a fellow of the Society for Industrial-Organizational
Psychology and was recently elected to the chair-track for the Academy of
Management's organizational behavior division. His research focuses on enhancing
team effectiveness, managing organizational change and developing leadership
talent. Tesluk has published extensively and worked with many organizations on
these topics, has received awards for his research on work team effectiveness
and work experience and leadership development, and his research has been
supported by a variety of different funding agencies. He is currently on the
editorial boards of the Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology,
and Organization Science, and has served on several others.
Dr. M. Susan Taylor

Susan
Taylor is the Smith Chair of Human Resource Management & Organizational Change
in the department of management and organization at the Robert H. Smith School
of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is also co-director
of the Center for Leadership, Innovation, and Change (CLIC). Taylor is a fellow
of the Academy of Management and the Society of Industrial/Organizational
Psychology, a senior editor for the academic journal, Organization Science,
and a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Foundation Board
of Directors. Her current research examines the nature of change leadership and
its effects on employee reactions and team performance, and cross-cultural
differences in the nature of the organizational innovation process. Her past
research has focused on organizational recruitment, the effects of performance
feedback and performance management systems, and the procedural justice of
organizations’ HR systems and their impact on the employment relationship.
Taylor is a past chair of the human resource division of the National Academy of
Management, and has also served on the academy's Board of Governors.
Dr. Kathryn M. Bartol
Robert H. Smith Professor of Management & Organization

Kathryn
M. Bartol is the Robert H. Smith Professor of Management and Organization at the
Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park. She is
past dean of the fellows of the Academy of Management, as well as past president
of the Academy of Management. She is also a fellow of the Academy of Management,
the American Psychological Association, the Society for
Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and the American Psychological Society.
Bartol regularly publishes in major journals and her research has received more
than $1 million in funding support. Her research focuses on developing leader
effectiveness, particularly with respect to building networks, fostering
knowledge sharing, transfer and creativity, and leading distributed virtual
teams. Bartol has received both research and teaching awards, and also consults
and conducts research for numerous organizations. Her articles have appeared in
such leading journals as Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied
Psychology, Academy of Management Review, Personnel Psychology, Journal of
Personality and Social Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human
Resource Management Review, MIS Quarterly, and Industrial and Labor
Relations Review.
Dr. Pat Stocker
Executive Director, CLIC
Pat
Stocker reunites with the Smith School as Executive Director of the Center for
Leadership, Innovation, and Change (CLIC). She previously served for more than
10 years as Associate Dean and Director of Executive Programs for the Smith
School. Stocker also taught marketing at the University of Maryland, College
Park, and at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., as well as the
University of Denver, where she was honored as the outstanding business
professor of the year. She is president of Stocker & Associates LLC, a
consulting organization based in Bethesda, Md., which coordinates custom
executive education programs. Stocker has done extensive work for Marriott,
Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, Aetna Insurance, and many other organizations. She
is also member of the Board of Suburban Hospital and of Interfaith Works.
CLIC Advisory Council
A group of leaders from business, government, and non-profit organizations who
advise the Center for Leadership, Innovation, and Change (CLIC) to help
understand the leadership challenges facing these organizations and how CLIC may
help address them.
