BB&T Sponsors Colloquium Featuring Competitiveness & Innovation at Smith

How can the United States stay competitive and lead in a world of rapid and
dramatic change? Deborah Wince-Smith, president and CEO of the Council on
Competitiveness, discussed the challenges and opportunities of a transformed
competitive landscape at a BB&T Colloquium on Competitiveness and Innovation
on Feb. 21, 2013. The event was sponsored by BB&T in partnership with Center
for Leadership, Innovation and Change (CLIC) at the University of Maryland’s
Robert H. School of Business.

Coaching 21st Century Leaders
The Advanced Executive Coaching Program at the University of Maryland’s Robert
H. Smith School of Business – now in its second year - focuses on the knowledge
and advanced competencies required to effectively coach senior executive level
leaders within the context and challenge of today’s global business environment.
Coaching is seen within the context of corporate executive development. The
course, which begins on October 17 - 18, 2013, builds on core coaching
competencies and takes Executive Coaching to the next level. Find out more

Leadership, Innovation & Change (CLIC) is focused on producing vanguard
research, programs, and related activities that will foster effective
leadership, organizational change, innovation, and social stewardship. The
Center is committed to using its wealth of knowledge in these areas to serve a
broad audience of executives, managers, scholars, instructors, students, and
alumni, while also seeking their input.
Vision: Translating the scholarly and practical expertise of the Smith faculty into leadership
