Kai Y. Duh, Guest Speaker

Kai Duh heads the University of Maryland-China Research Park (UMCRP) in College Park, Maryland. He is responsible for directing various programs for Chinese enterprises as well as their Maryland partners at the joint Research Park. Previously, he held a variety of management and operational positions in the semiconductor integrated circuit industry; including as a Research Fellow at AEG-Telefunken in Germany, Semiconductor Business Group Technology Director at General Electric Company, and Director of Semiconductor RF & Analog IC Business Group at AlliedSignal (Honeywell) Corp. in the United States. He was the President and CEO of Maryland Semiconductor Inc. for 10 years before joining UMCRP. Dr. Duh has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University and a Ph.D. degree in Physics from University of Pennsylvania.
