Advisory Board

The CHIDS’ Advisory Board is an eminent group of experts from academia, industry, policy, and practice. The Advisory Board provides oversight and advice to the Director concerning the strategic direction, objectives, activities, and member relations of CHIDS. Board members work with the Director to strengthen the center’s outreach function and may, on occasion, lead new initiatives. They represent the Director and can engage in discussions with CHIDS’ stakeholders and industry members to initiate new collaborations and projects. Further, the Advisory Board establishes the criteria and defines the process for reviewing CHIDS' management. Finally, Advisory Board members provide overall guidance and help the Director in building a strong partner and collaborator base.

Each of CHIDS’ industry members will have a seat on the Advisory Board for the duration of their membership contract, and will be confirmed through invitation by the Director. Other members of the Advisory Board consist of invited experts. The Advisory Board is managed by a Chair, appointed by the Director. The tenure of members and the Chair is for three years, renewable by mutual agreement.

The Advisory Board meets annually, or more frequently at the desire of the Chair to offer guidance and strategic direction to the center. The Chair and Director reserve the privilege to invite other members to the meetings or to serve on the board from time to time.
