CHIDS Collaboration Opportunities
Our collaborations with private corporations, not-for-profit organizations and
academic institutions drive us to collectively achieve our vision for improving
the practice and delivery of healthcare through the application of information and
decision technologies. CHIDS welcomes such partnerships with external entities through
the following avenues.
Membership at the Center
CHIDS offers two levels
of membership with differing financial commitments. These memberships are
typically for industry partners.
Research Sponsorships
Partners may collaborate with CHIDS on specific research projects. The financial commitment for research projects depends on the scope of work. We encourage
our partners to become members of the center first and then engage in research sponsorships
depending on specific research needs. This enables the partner to take advantage
of membership benefits
and build a long-term stakeholder relationship with CHIDS and the
Smith School of Business.
Large Endowments
As an academic, not-for-profit research center, we depend on external funding
to build infrastructure and resources for our faculty and researchers.
We seek large endowments for the center to expand our capacity and strength. We
are currently seeking such donors to establish our Concept HIT Lab.
In addition to membership opportunities and research project sponsorships, our partners
have engaged with us in a variety of ways, including hiring student interns, lecturing
in graduate and undergraduate classes, and participating in events at the Smith
School. We would be glad to discuss ways in which your organization can get further
involved.
