American Marketing Association
The
American Marketing Association
is the world's largest and most
comprehensive professional society of
marketers, consisting of more than
45,000 worldwide members in 92 countries
and 500 chapters throughout North
America. Founded in 1937 as a
professional non profit organization for
marketers, AMA's purpose is to promote
education; to assist in personal and
professional career development among
marketing professionals; and to advance
the science and ethical practice of
marketing disciplines. The Center for
Excellence in Service is allied with the
American Marketing Association through
its co-sponsorship of the annual
Frontiers in Service Conference. This
alliance is with both the academic side
of AMA (the Services Special Interest
Group) and the business practitioner
side of AMA (the Services Shared
Interest Group).
International Academy of Services
The International Academy of Services
Research and Education is a global
organization that features 19 of the
most prominent research centers in
service research, from 13 countries from
around the world. The purpose of the
Academy is to share ideas about
research, teaching, and business
practice in service, and to provide a
global perspective on service issues.
