Parking
The parking process at the Robert H. Smith School of Business has changed!
Visitor parking is now located exclusively on the 6th floor of the Mowatt Lane
Garage and requires a system automated payment or a pre-validated PIN code. Approximately
24 hours in advance of your visit, OCS will provide you with a PIN code for input
into the garage Pay Station.
Please note that your PIN code is only valid for the duration of your campus
stay. It is necessary that you receive an updated PIN code for all subsequent visits.
We encourage you to arrive early to ensure a seamless parking experience.

related questions.

On-campus Interviews
Interviews are scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude by 5 p.m.,
and includes two 15 minute breaks and a 60 minute lunch (provided by OCS).
Upon arrival to suite 2570 in Van Munching Hall, check-in at the reception
area to receive your candidate folder and be directed to your interview
room(s).
The OCS will confirm information with you 24–48 hours prior to your
scheduled interview day(s). Interview schedules are
available on HireSmith.
You may view and print your interview schedule by logging into your
HireSmith
account.

Corporate Presentations
Presentations are scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. with recommended
arrival time of 5 p.m. to allow for set-up.
Upon arrival, please come to the OCS to be escorted to your presentation
room to check-in with the student ambassador assigned to your room. Your
Employer Development contact will confirm information with you directly
24-48 hours prior to your scheduled presentation.

Employer of the Day Event
The Employer of the Day Event (EOD) is designed as an informal showcase of your
company and opportunities. Our EOD built-in presentation area allows you to display
materials and other information to market your company. Meet and engage with students
as they change classes and enter the building. You can choose between a morning
session from 9:30 a.m. - Noon or afternoon session from 12:30 p.m. - 3
p.m.

Classrooms for Presentations

All classrooms where presentations are held are equipped with audio-visual
technologies including DVD, VCR, CD, and laptop connection/playback capabilities.
To avoid using your personal laptop, we recommend all presentations (PowerPoint)
be sent electronically to ocsrecruiter@rhsmith.umd.edu
so that we may have it available for your presentation.
Dining Room

Available for special recruiting events where round table seating is required.
Equipped with a partial kitchen for catering, and audio-visual technologies
including DVD, VCR, CD, and laptop connection/playback capabilities.
Executive Meeting Space

Ideal for networking events, the executive meeting space is furnished with
sofas, chairs, and coffee tables. Kitchenette with full size refrigerator and
sink available as well for your catering needs. Equipped with audio-visual technologies
including DVD, VCR, CD, and laptop connection/playback capabilities.
Interview Rooms

On-campus interviews are conducted in the Office of Career Services in private
interview rooms equipped with round tables, computers, dry-erase boards and
additional supplies and materials. During peak recruiting times some interviews
may be scheduled in overflow spaces to ensure that all employers are able to
conduct interviews during peak times.
New Employer Lounge Coming

A new employer lounge will become available for employers in spring 2010.
We look forward to having this new and improved space where you can prepare
for and debrief interviews, conduct regular business and relax during your on-campus
visits.
