Online Resources and
On-Campus Opportunities to help you connect to the Smith talent you are looking
for. Our trained and dedicated team is ready to help you design and execute a
customized recruiting strategy based on your unique needs and targeted at your
ideal candidates.
On-Campus Opportunities
The Smith School hosts employers through multiple venues on campus that
promote connecting and developing relationships with students in collaborative,
accommodating settings.
- Smith Career Fairs – Opportunities to engage with students on both the
graduate and undergraduate level who are proactively beginning their career
search. The Smith School hosts multiple fairs each year; of particular
significance is the MBA Career Quest – an effort coordinated with the Washington
DC Graduate School MBA Coalition and nine additional top-ranked MBA programs in
the region including Johns Hopkins, The University of Virginia and Georgetown.
- On-Campus Interview Rooms – The Smith School offers you a convenient and
accommodating setting to conduct your selection and recruiting activities. Our
on-campus interview facilities boast thirteen spacious rooms that include
telephone access, a high-speed internet terminal and additional
interview-friendly resources.
- Employer Lounge – We are constructing a brand new, state-of-the-art lounge
space where employers can prepare for and debrief interviews, conduct regular
business and relax while visiting Smith.
Online Resources
- The Smith School offers a range of tools and resources online through
HireSmith, a customized job-search web based tool and database that streamlines
and simplifies the selection and hiring process.
Helpful Tools and Resources on HireSmith:
- Job Posting – Announce positions to the Smith Community, access & evaluate
student resume books, and manage your job listings in real-time from any
web-accessible location.
- Resume Books – Identify high-profile candidates through
HireSmith's
searchable, online database. This tool may be helpful to you for pre-selection
screening prior to on-campus interviews.
