Spring 2009 - New York City Trip
The sun shone on the Business Scholars in New York, especially during the
guided walking tour of Lower Manhattan where they explored the historic and
financial heart of Manhattan. The tour traced the development of Wall Street
from its Colonial roots to the Big Board’s most recent travails, with stops
at the New York Stock Exchange, Federal Reserve, the Wall Street Bull,
Trinity Church, Ground Zero, Trinity Church and more. BSE’s other weekend
activities included dinner Friday night, a visit to the 70th floor of
Rockefeller Center, lunch at a historic Stone Street outdoor café in the
Wall Street area and a stop at the Museum of American Finance. All the
Scholars had the chance to see a Broadway show of their choosing and a visit
to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
