February 2008 - Everest Simulation

In February, Chris Warner spoke to the freshman about resilience, passion, teamwork, vision, perseverance, courage, handling stress and other important characteristics for success. Chris is one of only two or three dozen climbers in the world to have conquered both K2 and Mount Everest . K2 is a dangerous place, far worse than its better-known neighbor Everest. Fewer than 300 people have made it to the icy, 28,251-foot top of K2 in northern Pakistan . The students were later challenged with a web-based simulation testing leadership and team dynamics using a team ascent of Mount Everest as the backdrop.
