WITH A BLACKBOARD COURSE
(Mostly for Faculty. Items with * are for students as well.) |

Login Help |
You will need to use UM Directory
ID and password to gain access to BB courses and other spaces. You also
need to setup valid email address in order to receive messages sent from
BB. |

Course Request |
Instructors are required to
request Blackboard courses Every Semester using ELMS Management Tool.
You can also request other non-term based BB courses and Organization
spaces for variable purposes. |

Availability and Backup |
All term-based courses (excepts
Graduate courses) will be Unavailability to students 3-weeks
after a semester is over.
All term-based courses are available in BB for 2 years. So, please
prepare in advance. |
Adding
Users to Your Course
- TAs, Course Builders
 |
Instructor can request to add TA,
Course Builder to their courses. |

Adding Contents |
Add syllabus, post announcements,
modify course menu, copy contents from old courses. |

Set Your Elms-Faculty Account Password & Access Your Course as a Student |
Course Instructors are given a
Student account access automatically when the course is created. Set up
the password to get access to your own
courses as a student. |

Browser Requirements and Known Issues |
Users may encounter some browser
related from time to time. Make sure your machine have updated Java
version and use compatible browsers. If necessary, you may try different
browser to see if your problem can be treated. |
