MBA ADMISSIONS AMBASSADORS
(TIME
COMMITMENT: APPROX. 2-3 HOURS PER EVENT)

Inspire an outstanding
student-of-interest to consider applying
to Smith with your personal story;

Host
or attend a welcome dinner for
newly admitted students in your city;

Attend MBA recruiting fair information
sessions in your local area;

Speak
to incoming Smith students at
programs such as Admitted Students
Weekend, Women and the MBA,
Kaleidoscope: Advancing Diversity at
Smith, Smith Information Sessions,
and/or the Visitors Program.
SMITH UNDERGRADUATE CAREER
AMBASSADORS
(TIME COMMITMENT: VARIES)

Engage
undergraduate students with
professional and life experiences that
have made you successful;

Participate in Undergraduate Career
Skills Workshops held each Fall and
Spring to help students sharpen their
interview, networking, and job search
skills;

Give
an insider’s view of the Fashion
and Apparel, Finance, Manufacturing, and
other industries as a panelist.
MBA ALUMNI MENTOR PROGRAM
(TIME
COMMITMENT: APPROX. 2-3 HOURS PER MONTH)

Share lessons learned from your career
experiences with a current MBA student
as a Primary Mentor;

Guide current students through the
career transition as a Secondary Mentor;

Act as an industry resource for a
specific cluster and host job shadow and
networking events;

Interact
with MBA students and alumni at
cluster events, networking socials, or
Program activities;

Recruit
and motivate alumni mentors in
your geographic area as a regional
representative.
SMITH CLASS AGENTS
(TIME COMMITMENT:
APPROX. 3-4 HOURS PER SEMESTER)

Reach out to Smith alumni in your class
and act as a class liaison and/or
activities coordinator;

Recruit
alumni for volunteer and
networking opportunities that promote
the Smith brand;

Represent the experiences, challenges,
and success stories of your Smith days
in marketing publications;

Motivate current students to remain
connected to each other and the Smith
community after graduation.
SMITH GRADUATE CAREER AMBASSADORS

SPECIFIC ACTIVITY/EVENT)

Partake in one of several Corporate Edge
volunteer opportunities, including:
Corporate Edge Exchange: teleconference
or on-site discussions on industry
trends, challenges and tips;

Corporate Resume Edge: small group
resume review sessions within specific
industries;

Corporate Interview Edge: mock
behavioral and/or case interviews via
phone or in-person;

Corporate Expert-In-Residence (EIR):
half-day discussion on business and
career issues with students;

leaders expose students to current
