Dr. McKinney has several years experience teaching auditing, financial
accounting, business ethics, professional accounting research, accounting
systems, and fraud accounting. He is a CPA and has worked in public accounting,
including the national auditing office of his firm, as well as in the internal
audit department of a Fortune 500 company.
Dr. McKinney is an award winning author of accounting research, teacher, and
faculty advisor. He currently serves as the President-Elect of the Academy of
Accounting Historians, Board member of the Maryland Association of CPAs, and
Chairman of Global Accounting Digital Archive Network Project. Dr. McKinney has
given numerous presentations of his research at the national meetings of the
American Accounting Association, the Academy of Accounting Historians, and the
World Congress of Accounting Historians. His research relates primarily to
accounting professionalization and organizational issues both current and
historic.
He is a member of the American Accounting Association, the Academy of
Accounting Historians, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants,
the Maryland Association of CPAs, and the National Association of Black
Accountants and is affiliated with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
