Dr. McKinney has several years experience teaching financial accounting, auditing, accounting systems, and fraud accounting. He is a CPA and has worked in public accounting, including the national auditing office of his firm, as well as in the internal audit department of a Fortune 500 company.
Dr. McKinney has given
numerous presentations of his
research at the national
meetings of the American
Accounting Association, the
Academy of Accounting
Historians, and the World
Congress of Accounting
Historians. His research relates
primarily to accounting
professionalization and
organizational issues both
current and historic.
He is a member of the
American Accounting Association,
the Academy of Accounting
Historians, the American
Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, the National
Association of Black
Accountants, the Canadian
Academic Accounting Association,
the Greater Washington Society
of Certified Public Accountants,
and the Maryland Association of
CPAs, and is affiliated with the
Association of Certified Fraud
Examiners.
Professor McKinney teaches
MBA Financial Accounting,
Auditing, and Intermediate
Accounting.
