Shijun Cheng's research focuses on corporate governance, with an emphasis on the role of accounting information. His research has been published in top journals such as The Accounting Review, The Review of Financial Studies, and Journal of Financial Economics. Prior to joining the Smith School as Associate Professor with tenure in 2007, he served as an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Ross School of Business of the University of Michigan for six years.
